I want you all to know how much I enjoy your high-speed service. I must say that after everything was fine-tuned during the first ...
We often get questions from customers who are concerned about the rating and information on the BBB website about FlashByte.
First of all let us clear of some basic misconceptions about the BBB. The BBB is not a government agency and has no particular authority, insight, or official responsibility to report anything accurately. They are a private company and they support themselves by charging businesses to be listed on their site and "accredited". The truth is this is more of an extortion scam than it is a consumer protection agency. We could easily improve our BBB rating and end up with "resolved" complaints by simply paying the BBB a few thousand dollars. When you see a company that is accredited by them you are not actually being assured of anything other than the BBB has been paid off. The exact same complaints and circumstances will be "resolved" for a company that is willing to pay them off that will result in a bad rating for a company that is not willing to pay.
Here are some reports about the scam nature of the BBB by ABC, please watch these before you rely on the BBB for anything. We are so glad people are finally finding out what we have always known about the BBB:

The president of the BBB Los Angeles division William Mitchell which is responsible for our rating, makes over $400,000 a year on the back of this rip off scheme. This is not actually a consumer reporting agency, it is itself a shakedown scam.
FlashByte is a reputable company that goes to great lengths to try to resolve complaints and we will be happy to work anything out that is brought to us reasonably.
At the time of this writing we have listed officially 6 unresolved complaints on the BBB site, we have been in business under our current business entity since 2006. We have had a total of 22 complaints lodged against us, and not a single complaint has ever been resolved in our favor according to the BBB. The truth is that no matter what you say to the BBB or why it will be held against us, because we are not willing to pay them. If we did pay them of course suddenly our point of view would be valid and all these issues would suddenly go away.
We have served thousands of customers across this time, and we have never bent to the extortion attempts of the BBB. We can explain and go into details on each of these unresolved issues, and you can be sure that the truth is that these people have been unreasonable and attempted to extort free service and/or money from us and have lied in their statements on the BBB. The truth of the matter is that these issues are without true merit, and all we would have to do to get the BBB to see these things our way is pay them some money, which would do you no good as a consumer one way or another.
The BBB is a fraud and an extortion racket, plain and simple, and though we may at some point decide it is better to pay off our electronic protection money, it will not make you any safer as a consumer either way. We have 100s of current happy customers, we resolve issues with reasonable people in a reasonable manner, we do not bend to extortion and intimidation from customers or agencies.
Our TOS and our policies are all laid out clearly for all to see and all of the complaints against us are people who are not happy with those terms and have attempted to extort better terms than they are entitled to from us. If you are aware of any legitimate claim against us please let us know, we will do out best to resolve it if approached reasonably, but these are few and far between as we always go far out of our way to make sure out customers are happy, that is why we continue to flourish even though the BBB has never approved of us not paying them off.
We stand by our record and with our happy customers, we have hundreds of happy customers who have been with us since as early as 2006. If you know of any outstanding issue that is being made by a reasonable person I will be happy to review it myself and respond with the details of the situation, we are a small company and we know most of our customers.
Thanks for taking time to read this,
